Key Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Technical Degree Required (computer science or information systems) or other industry-related experience.
  • 4+ years as a Database administrator
  • 3+ years working with related database tools
  • 2+ years working on systems with open-source solutions (preferred)
  • Good experience in 24×7 environment.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN)
  • Proficiency in tuning ORACLE RDBMS systems, both at the system and SQL levels.
  • Proficiency in Shell scripting
  • Proficiency in Oracle 11g and 19c releases and MariaDB/MySQL versions
  • Proficiency in other cluster services.
  • Proficiency in managing databases in Linux (or UNIX) Operating Systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both through verbal and written form
  • Mentoring of Oracle DBA team members as required.
  • Strong attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Enthusiastic problem solver.
  • Approachable, open and consultative.
  • Diplomatic but firm.
